#ResearchersNightKansai2014

We were around 50 to attend the very first EURAXESS Links Japan event outside of Tokyo on 12 November!

The first edition of what will probably become a series of EURAXESS Share events was held in Osaka, Umeda, thanks to our two local partner and co-organisators, Kwansei Gakuin University and EUIJ-Kansai. Thank you!

After welcome remarks by Dr Bungsche, Professor at the Kwansei Gakuin University and Mr Yamanishi, Administrative director of the EU Institute in Japan - Kansai, we EURAXESS Links Japan presented along with Dr Kuczynski from the EU Delegation to Japan a view on cooperation opportunities with Europe.

After what, our two guest speakers, Dr Aoki (ERC Grantee, CEA/Leti, Grenoble - IMR, Tohoku University) and Dr Cosentino ((JSPS Fellow, Osaka University) provided us with feedback on their experience on international mobility, on their current grant and on their view as to why research cooperation is important to them.

And last but not least, the networking session allowed everyone to discuss, share views and information until late in the evening while enjoying typical food from the Kansai region.

Thank you to all attendees and see you soon for another edition!
